John Barrowman was born in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom. When he was 8 years old, he moved to the IIIino upis, USA. As a Kid growing up, It was clear to everyone that John was very talented.
His high school teachers encouraged him to go ahead and pursue a career in performing arts.
He landed his first big role in the musical “Anything Goes” in London’s West End.
Since then, he has performed in many musicals in London and New York, including “Miss Saigon”, “The Phantom of the Opera”, and “Sunset Boulevard”.
Barrowman was even nominated for a prestigious award for his performance in “The Fix”.

Early Life
Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1967. When he was eight, his family moved to Illinois, USA.

After his high school, John had to do manual labors in order to make ends meet. He didn’t like the fact he was doing manual labor, So he left the Job and went to study drama and music in college.
While studying, he performed in Parks and received loud ovations. John would return to the UK where he studied Shakespeare. He stayed in the UK to pursue his acting career.

John Barrowman’s acting career started in London’s West End in 1989. He appeared in many musicals and plays throughout the 1990s, including “Anything Goes,” “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Hair,” and “Sunset Boulevard.”
He would also go on to perform in some high profile concerts, He bagged a nomination for award for the role he played in “The Fix.”
Barrowman would briefly perform on Broadway and also made appearances in several other productions including “Putting It Together” and “Company.” He participated in a concert against the Iraq War and returned to his role in “Anything Goes” in 2003.
